i just tried to search for that post from the Stanford folks about the flow map tool and got an error message yelling at me becaude one of my search terms (that would be 'map') is under 4 characters. I've gotten this a bunch and it always seems odd that a cartography forum's search engine would scold one for searching for the term 'map'. Any chance this could be adjusted?

I concur, this one annoys me as well.
However, since 'map' is going to show up in, oh, 99% of the posts here, I wonder whether you'd get the post you're looking for if you simply searched for 'flow'

I'm sure it would if I searched for flow, there were several other times though when I've searched for 3 character terms though and of course get the same message. Not a big deal...just a nitpick on what is always a great forum.

I actually noticed this issue just on Friday while trying to do a search.
I didn't have the time to make a post, but I'm glad someone did!
