Oslo street map

Found this on a Dutch "lifehacking" forum. The poster explains that he was walking through Oslo, lost without a map, no internet-phone and no internet-cafe nearby (*sigh* some people never learn...) and saw this.

Wow! That's a true little nugget, Hans... I want to do that too!

I though, "Wow, that would be slick to put something like that on the side of my house." But then I realized out where I live it would just be one or two straight lines and and bunch of wineries.

Maybe I should use a map of Oslo too, that would confuse people!

what a great idea! every city should have map murals. after all, are they not a work of functional art that would benefit both residents and tourists alike? i know here in Portland we have a Public Art Mural Program... perhaps local mappers should rally and submit map mural proposals for their home towns

who's with me!?
