I just got a "question" on our Ask a Cartographer tab on Mapping Center from an 8th grade teacher in Yonkers, NY who writes:

"I am an 8th grade science teacher at Yonkers Middle High School. I will be teaching several lessons on interpreting topographic maps and identifying latitude and longitude of given locations. I wanted my students to appreciate the importance of cartography by learning some rudimentary skills and interacting with a bona fide cartographer. Could you put me in contact with someone who is willing to share his or her expertise with my eager students?"

I know there about 10 of you who are close (thanks to the members map)--any takers? It's a great chance to represent your profession!

If you're interested send me a PM with your email address and I'll get you connected with the teacher.
