Hi.

I have some problems in ArcGis joining two layers of polygon data. The main problem is that the polygons contains multiple polygons with different id which needs to be preserved.
Does anyone know which tool would be the best to join these two layers togheter while preserving all the features in both shapefiles?

The "Union" tool should preserve all attributes among the two polygons.

Ok. Thank you. I had some problems using the Union tool as i lost some data while doing the processing, so i finally made a new shapefile, and then copied and pasted the datas i selected into the new shapefile.
Worked flawless.
I always manage to forget all the possibilities in the editor tools. To much geoprocessing.....
