I want to create some Thiessen-Polygons out of a collection of points I put manually on a layer. I have access to different GIS at university(ArcGis, Mapinfo) which i think can do that, but working in those PC-rooms makes me cry. So I'm wondering if there does exist any Freeware GIS doing Thiessen-Polygons, so that i can work on my computer.
Do you know any? I started some time ago working with gvSIG, it's nice, but in early-development stage and analysis-tools are still very poor.
Googling i have found: http://openjump.org/wiki/show/HomePage . Can you commend this one?
In addtion to that: Do you know GIS which can mesure the enclosed area of Thiessen-Polygons and then construct classes out of them with some given (by me) borders? (e.g. 200m²; 400m²;600²; etc.) So i can attribute colors to each class and visualize the data.
Sorry for my english. I would by very thankful for an answer.
Greetings david
