All.

This summer, two compatriots and I are traveling from Athens Ohio to Eugene Oregon by bicycle. Today is the 34th day on the road and we are in Thermopolis Wyoming enjoying the hot springs. I just wanted to give you all the address to our blog; you can now follow along from the comfort of your computer as we serve up an extensive account of our journeys bisecting the rich cultural and phyiscal landscape of the U.S. at a peculiar temporal scale.

I'm envious!! Looks like fun (aside from being a little sore, I'm sure).

But really - you should have a map that's updated online so we can see your progress. Good luck and enjoy.

I'm equally jealous. By the way, are you sure that's a praire dog on Day 29? It looks and acts more like a chipmunk!

Rudyand Dave .

I guess I forgot to mention to everyone that I am carrying my Raven U.S. map on my bike. Each day one member of the trio becomes the de facto cartographer as we draw in the route traversed and the mileage. The nominal difference seperating days is expressed by alternating between blue and red marker. It has been quite the hit; people get really excited to see such a beautiful map and we get lots of joy watching the line lengthen. I try to post pictures of the map, but unfortunately it is hard to keep up with on top of the large documentation. There are some pictures on the blog and I will try to get more up.

Erin. We have seen a bunch of prarie dogs, but it very well could have been another furry little fellow; I am definitely not the best wildlife systematist.

Mike. We are carrying a dinosaur of a IBM ThinkPad (it has to weigh 10 lbs). It has wireless and we catch it when we can, usually at public libraries. Since the blogging is on a lag, we usually are 6 days behind and each member takes two days, so two of us use the libraries machines and the other uses the laptop. It unfortunately doesn't have enough RAM to run CS3 or I would be working on a flash map of the trip.

thanks ALL.
keep reading, as we will surely lay it on you.
