Greetings!

I've been lurking occasionally, so guess it's time I checked in..... I currently live in the Cariboo region of British Columbia. I come from an artistic background, my primary “occupation”, but have been making and drawing various kinds of maps, especially orienteering maps, for a very long time. I find the cartographic aspects of mapmaking interesting, and make and hope to maybe pick up a few cartographic tips for various maps I am making.

The software I use is primarily OCAD for map drawing/cartography, and Manifold when needed for compiling data and editing raster images/DEMs.

Look forward to learning, and perhaps occasionally contributing......

Bryan, I'd be very interested in hearing more about OCAD -- and esp. if you have any experience with Illustrator and how they compared.
