Greetings all,

I am a new member to the site, but have read many of the interesting topics being discussed around the website and finally have decided to join.

I work with a small group of cartographers in a satellite office for National Geographic in Evergreen, CO. Our primary focus here is the Trails Illustrated map, an outdoor recreation, topographic map.

I look forward to reading all the interesting links and issues surrounding the world of cartography and GIS.

Thanks

Chris Knoll

Welcome!
Of course, the Trails Illustrated maps are great maps. Just curious, when working for an organization like that that probably has clearly defined standards do you get much opportunity for design input?

Thanks to all for the welcome.

Dave B., yes I do give input to specific projects, but as you mentioned we do have a Specs sheet that is used as a guideline for our projects.

Chris
