I am looking for a Java coder for a small CAD project. The software should be able to get user input for height, width, and id of a rectangular block that upon Ok will display in the jframe. After creating the blocks, the user must be able to input connections for the blocks by just supplying the block_id's and assigning a net_id to the specified set of block_id's.
After this is done, the user must select a cluster growth algorithm that does not need to be invented (i will supply the algorithm description and implementation). What the algorithm basically does is it selects a seed block and adds the other blocks to it by looking foremost for blocks that are most wired. After constructing the floorplan consisting of blocks, the user must be able to optimize the space occupied by the blocks by running the second algorithm - also very well known and implemented algorithm called simulated annealing that takes into account cost functions for each move of the block and chooses the best possible solution at a time.
So, to summarize on features - there should be a capability for the user to create the blocks, wire the blocks and run the 2 algorithms explained above.
I want to know how much time this would take you to finish this small project and how much would you charge for it?
