Hello yet again,

I am having trouble when I use spatial join in ModelBuilder because if I place the spatial join at the end of my processes (which is necessary) then I have to wait about 2 hours to get a shapefile that has columns but NO fields are populated. If I rerun it then it will work just fine (for the most part), but I need to give this model to someone else and allow them to just run it on a whim. It takes about 10 hours + to complete the entire model and then I get nothing in the end. So....yeah....a little frustrating.

I have found this...but no help from it...: http://forums.esri.c...p...&g=1#403329

Thanks again,

angel

Hi Angel,

I just built a simple model using SpatialJoin and did not have any problems - but I can see a couple of potential situations that might cause some long looping. I would pay attention to the Join Operation (one_to_many would take much longer than one_to_one).

I hope you can find some edification from the links that Mike posted.

Good Luck!
