Wow indeed!

Not getting it to work yet with Firefox 3.0 but I'm sure that'll be fixed soon. I wonder what this will do for the industry... Given that the Google Maps API generated a lot of new interest in mapping and GIS, who knows...

It says that FF3 support is "coming soon"... for now though it works well with FF2 (although the formatting of the Earth controls gets a little screwy in smaller map windows, they over-extend). I think it provides a great new way to view the area covered by static maps so I just integrated it with http://mappery.com. I hope to allow exploration of new static maps from within the in-browser Earth view soon (specifically I mean have additional map markers appear while browsing in Earth).

Will be curious to see other implementations.
