This question is specifical to map publisers, is there something called as static map & dynamic maps in arcims?

Coz i am writing an article on map publication, which involves software capable of creating static and dynamic maps.

The most common distinction between static and dynamic is that "static" involves print mapping, or digital maps that don't change once they're created. "Dynamic" is for anything that can change automatically.

So with ArcIMS, as the name implies a Internet Map Server, you can create dynamic maps, though static is also possible.

Hope this helps.
