Hello all, how convert data from WGS to VAN DER GRINTEN projection, that beyond 180 degrees repeat data?
i need make world map

Hi Rutenis,

What software are you using? Do you want set it up so that the far end of Siberia (as well as some pacific islands, and a chunk of Antarctica) is duplicated on both the east and west edges of the map?

I often choose 10 as the central meridian on the maps I prepare, that way the east/west break is offset to go in the sea between Siberia and Alaska.

i using ArcGIS software ArcInfo 9.2 license, and i want that duplicated on both the east and west edges of the map

i make :
1. First add data to the east and west edges (see in the picture 1 red color) coordinate sytem WGS 1984
2. Change coordinate system WGS 1984 to VAN DER GRITEN (and red edges not display see in the picture 2)

maybe need modify custom coordinate sytem and anybody know ?

Seems to work - but do you like that? From your example, those snippets are enormous...

Could you please describe the steps you did to duplicate the stuff on the far edges, using ArcGIS?

You can use that projection, as long as you adjust the reference meridian to dial it in.
