As many of you know, I'm a big Who-fan. So yesterday, on a quick trip to London, I couldn't help picking up the latest version of the London Underground map:

:D

(and for those of you who are not totally up to date with early 60s youth culture, the "Mod target" was and still is an often recurring pop-art image from those days, serving as a more or less unofficial logo for the band)

It was quite an exhaustive day, first flight in the morning from Antwerp (7:45), spending most of the day sightseeing with my dad who had come along for the day, then last flight back from London City (19:45). Met with a client at the London International Book Fair in Earl's Court, that was the real reason for the trip.

The cool thing about this area of Europe is that you can reach several countries in a relatively short amount of time. Antwerp, in Belgium, is less than an hour by car. From there it's an hour to London by plane.

I guess i'm a bit of a sucker to map elements used in advertising/marketing/design, because recently I purchased some clothing just because the company used the London Undergorund's map as part of their image
