When I introduced myself september last year I told about my interest in topographic and geofictional maps. This interest started in 1992, when I discovered a population of wood ants in the Netherlands. I mapped the nests with dots on a map. and connected the nesth with lines, the roads the ants created from nest to nest. This amazing ant structure measured almost 300 x 1000 meters. Wondered as I was I started to study these structures. They were so human-like...

The results of this study so far (wich is fully on peronal base) are now collected on my website. Here I try to organize all the data I collected since 1992. The maps on this site do only show the nests, but the ant-roads will be published as soon as possible.

Here is the main link: http://ant-maps.com/ and an example

Hope you like these maps...
