A well-established internet / catalog direct marketing manufacturer of specialized office equipment (located in an eastern suburb of Rochester, NY) is looking for a Cartographer. Ideal candidate will have advanced skills with key map related computer programs and skill sets. The cartographer is responsible for acquiring and maintaining the GIS data from which the maps are made as well as defining styles and templates for each GIS data set used in the production of the maps.

Essential Job Functions:
Produce custom and general maps from local to global level.
Develop new products based on map design and functionality.
Demonstrate web and cartographic best practices.
Assist in all aspects of graphic and web design for direct marketing.
Assist in catalog preparation.

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree with 2 years relevant experience, very computer literate
Experience with ESRI ArcView, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign software
Able to work in a fast paced environment with multiple projects
Detail focused, accurate, well organized, cooperative, show initiative
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
