I realize this is a long shot, but does anybody know where I can find a DEM (or data that I can make a DEM of, such as contour lines) of Mount St Helens before it went kablooie? I can find out how high it was pre-big-bang, but I'd like a bit more detail than that... <_<

This is the only one I've found:

The person serving this data indicates it's a level 1 DEM with a lot of artifacts.

Thanks!

Too bad about the artifacts, but perhaps I can clean that up a bit. Haven't made up my mind whether I want just a cross-section, or also a map.

The topo sheets with contour lines are not too tough to find. Here they are online:

Hi Hans. In my Intro GIS course we did an exercise with Mt. St. Helens before & after dems. This might be the same data as mentioned in a previous post, but you might as well have a look.

Which were pretty much the same as the ones Sky Schemer came up with. Thanks everybody, I have enough to do what I want to do.
