I found this interactive online tool after reading an article in Discover magazine about its creator. The tool should no doubt be a great asset in the classroom environment and is powered by non other than Google. According to its inventor, Hans Rosling, this tool was a major hit with two major groups: children under 12 and heads of state

Gapmider is indeed a very interesting way to visualize and animate data.
I think this is a very intriguing implementation of the interactivity of Flash coupled with animated data.
