A friend called into the office yesterday afternoon and said "Turn on NPR! They're talking about maps!"
So we turned on Talk of the Nation and there was Vincent Virga talking about his new book, Cartographia, an exploration of maps from a kind of breathlessly humanistic point of view... A lot of it you've heard before: Maps Tell You So Much More Than Where To Get Off The Freeway! Really!
Whatever. Beyond the heavy breathing, it looks like an interesting title. Coffee-table quality drawn from the Library of Congress collesction.
