with 9.1 it was ok.
Now, with 9.2 I want to dissolve a shape file and I face these problems:
1- I do not have the option to dissolve by the field Shape
2-When I dissolve by any other field the result does not preserve the boundaries of the original geometry. The resulting polygon is a mess.
Does anyone also faced this problem?
Can anyone solve it?
Thank's

Hi Luigi,
I don't seem to quite grasp your problem. The dissolve tool in my 9.2 toolbox seems to work fine. The "dissolve field" is optional. It's my assumption that if you do not specify any field to 'dissolve-on' your problem will be solved because it's the default.
I suppose you could also create a new field (calc the values in the field so they are the same for all the features) and dissolve on that...
