This is the first of a map series on China. The original title "Where is the money in China" was shot down by the publisher for being too "blatantly capitalistic". Oh well, we will be classier next time around, as the next few are about history and culture. :P

Any recommendation on a quick & dirty color scheme?

Tkx!

p.s. The sponsor is a PR newswire company. So the ultimate audience are businesses seeking to enter China.

Can you post a few words about the audience, context?

Also, the image is a bit small - if you can post a larger image or PDF that would be better.

Cindy,

Looks nice, but I agree with Chris, would like to see a more detailed version.

I can only read the title, so I can not interpret the map. But as far as overall layout, presentation, I think it looks very good.
The colors are good and though it may look busy, I wouldn't say it is cluttered. Then again, w/o being able to read it I can't
speak on the content.

Good job overall! Would be keen to see the other ones in your series.

Cool, looks very interesting, and I have a feeling that you have a tonne of good information in there!

I have to say that I am not wild about that color scheme...

One thing that I think is missing - the outline and names of the neighboring countries, and where there is coast. The geography of China (and Asia) is quite relevant for the economic development, right?

I don't know what those phones and the cars are in the circles to the far right, but if they are charts illustrating the development by the size of those figures, then I would consider doing them differently.

hi

the map looks nice and clean. sadly we can't judge the details. but by judging the first impression i'd say its a good piece of work.
is it a print product? or a screen map?
