I downloaded the DRG's from http://usarc.usgs.gov/drg_dload.shtml and would like to make them more useful by using an index map of the continent. However, I couldn't find a suitable georeferenceable image, plus I have troubles with the polar projection in GlobalMapper. I was hoping to reproject the images with GlobalMapper and use them in Ozi. Actually I'm not really sure what projection to use either.

What is Ozi? Why do you need to reproject if you don't know what to project to?

Actually I'm having trouble unzipping the DRGs - how did you do it?
