Can MapPublisher access feature classes within a Personal Geodatabase or File based Geodatabase? From reading their website it mentions being able to utilise Shapefiles, but I didn't come across any mention of accessing data living in either of these types of database.

Hi Andrew

Yes, Publisher can access both personal geodatabase and file geodatabase. If you wish you can package the data together with published map document. It has few other useful options as well (expiry, licensing, etc)

Zorko...are you sure about this? I've spoken with Avenza about this at shows and was told that they are working on it, but it may be a while. How do you access personal or file geodatabase featureclasses directly through MapPublisher in AI?

Hi Andrew,

If you are talking about Avenza's MAPublisher product and accessing Personal or File Based Geodatabases then answer is no it can not at this point. This is a feature we are working towards incorporating in a future release but the current version 7.5 does not have geodatabase support. If you wish to use feature classes from your Geodatabase in the current version of MAPublisher, you will have to export them to shp files.
