I have made mention of Cartotalk in a posting yesterday about discussion groups. As I've noticed (and I concur with the original impetus for creating this forum) there aren't too many sites dedicated to cartography discussion. Cartotalk is unusual in this respect.

I agree with your comment on geocommunity. It sometimes feels like an ESRI-specific group.
