Hello fellow Cartotalk members
I'm an information designer specializing in the geospatial realm.
I've been making maps since 1988 or so. However my mapmaking from 1988-2001 was mainly for fun and/or ancillary to other efforts. In 2001 I choose the entrepreneurial route in the area of communicating the nature of nature through information design. Since then I've expanded my scope to include making maps of all kinds. I'm passionate about maps and geography as well as graphic design. I use a variety of tools from Illustrator to Bryce to GIS apps.
Some of my work and art is viewable here: http://tinyurl.com/3bxqv7
I hope to go to a NACIS meeting perhaps next year.

Hi Erik, and welcome to Cartotalk.
Would love to see some more detailed images of your maps. Perhaps in the map gallery (hint hint)

Welcome Erik,
You will like it here.. full of map people of both the arty-fartsy and techo-geek persuasions
I enjoyed your site and your focus (and article) on the sense of place.
Like Hans, I too would like to see more detailed views of those display images.
