NACIS 2007 Pecha Kucha Night! Friday, October 12, 2007

We’ve already got a great line-up but we’re looking for a few more participants for Pecha Kucha Night, NACIS 2007!

What is Pecha Kucha Night?

Pecha Kucha Night was conceived in 2003 by Tokyo-based architects, Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham, as a place for young designers and architects to meet, network, and show their work. Often referred to as the design industry's version of speed dating or grown-up 'show and tell', Pecha Kucha (which means, "chat-chat" or "the sound of conversation" in Japanese) allows each person to present only 20 slides, each slide is presented for only 20 seconds, for a total 6 minute and 40 second presentation.

Call for Participation!!!
Topics may include, (but not be limited to), creative ideas, work in progress, design techniques, travel, and/or research. Maybe you have a new idea you'd like to try out, or a new project you're starting. This is a great way to tell others about it without the burden of a full presentation! Only 6 minutes and 40 seconds!

Contact Ginny Mason at vmas at loc dot gov or 202-707-8520 to participate and for more information.
