Hi Lou,

Yes, I'll be there (kinda necessary, seeing that I'll be doing 2 presentations...). Really looking forward to it.

So who else will be attending?

I'll be there.

Turns out the 'NACIS Night Out' is at the same place I went to an unrelated conference spring last year. We tried several of the restaurants while there and had good food at all of them.

I'm planning to attend, but am dealing with some issues at home with aging parents and need to work those out before I can commit.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself last year and have been looking forward to it all year.

There is no official CartoTalk event on the NACIS schedule. When asked to confirm the CartoTalk Lunch for the final schedule, I asked that it be removed. Not because I don't think we should do something, but because the last 2 years it has been difficult to plan an official event.

I am all for a CartoTalk lunch/dinner/party at NACIS, but I think we should plan it here on CartoTalk so we can get a consensus for the best time/place.

Now... I'm not going to make a comparison here between the collective IQ of the Hilton Group versus the IQ of a certain Ms P. Hilton, but...

I tried to change my reservation, leaving on Saturday instead of Sunday (so a day earlier!!) and apart from the fact I can't even get into their online system, I was told by email that this was not possible due to availability...

Phoned in and the friendly Hilton representative who processed this change then said that the rate would change to $999 per night

So she had to get me a different type of room... Which is the same as I had initially...

Sounds a bit complicated to me... but it's sorted out now... I hope...

Tanya and I will be attending this year as well ;)

Looks like the hotel is at an easy-on / easy-off access point to the Interstate...I'll be driving down from Madison so if anyone has a recommended 'scenic' route please let me know

Unfortunately due to a family emergency I had to cancel my trip to St. Louis for NACIS just yesterday. I am very sad not to be attending this year, but I will certainly be looking forward to next year. Have a beer in my honor.
