Is there a way to get the listing as an e-mail? I find it hard to remember to visit CartoTalk, whereas a listserv puts messages right in front of me.

I will look into some kind of weekly digest email. Good idea.

A weekly digest feature has been added. Everyone is automatically opted out by default. If you would like to receive the digest every Monday, please go to your User Control Panel and under Email Settings, check the "Send Digest" check box.
Thanks for the suggestion ChiCarto (I turned it on for you since I assume you want it).
--------------
EDIT:
Upon reflection I have decided to send everyone the digest by default and you may turn it off via the same link listed above, or from the link in the first digest. It occured to me that the folks who don't visit the board regularlly would benefit the most from this and they wouldn't see this post.
Plus I hope it brings people who have forgotten CartoTalk back now that we are more active with excellent content.

Good move, I'm sure this will bring it more to people's attention.

but... the "view new posts" doesn't seem to work for me, at least, like it did before -- could it be that it broke when you added RSS or the digest... ?
