Well, not really related to cartograhy (unless you want to talk about the possible relief shading or road symbology that you would employ to map this area) but interesting nevertheless. I don't think I'll be driving these roads anytime soon (even if I had the opportunity).

omigod! freakin' amazing that 'they' built a road in such place! why? how?

I bicycled a road reminiscent of this one in my youth (but not sooo extreme) - it was in the french alps... some famous gorge - can't remember the name offhand...

It also reminds me of a gorge I once walked down in Taiwan (Tailuga? gorge)... The striking thing about that one was that the cliffs were marble - with springs jetting out from the sides!

Amazing. I wonder how many smashed trucks, buses, cars and carts are at the bottom of that mountain? Yikes. Not the kind of road you want to drive on after a party.
