Hi all,

I stumbled upon this site recently and decided to join. A long time GIS analyst, I want to be a better cartographer. So here I am hoping to learn.

Now for my question - how in the heck to I change the threads so that the oldest post is on top instead of the newest?? I can't find a switch anywhere and I don't like scrolling to the bottom or clicking to page 2 to see the original post!

Thanks!

Sara

Hello Sara, and welcome to Cartotalk! I'm sure you'll find a lot to learn here.

As for your question... we don't know either... It used to be possible, but in one of the software upgrades last year, we kinda lost the option...

The feature for each user to select their preference for sort order was lost because that was a custom modification that was too hard to maintain when upgrading software versions every 6 months.

We have the ability to change the board as a whole, but when we polled on this last year the results were split.

I for one, prefer to see the new posts right away. It would be a hassle to keep going to the end when we have the occasional exciting and fast moving tread. and it would be easier to miss some posts.

Ahhh OK then - something new to get used to. I've never been in a forum where it was done that way!

Thanks!
