Graduate Student Opportunity
University of New Brunswick, Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Management

An opportunity is available for a potential MSc student interested in research and study in the area of remote sensing/GIS. This is a funded research opportunity through an industrial NSERC postgraduate scholarship (+ graduate teaching assistantship and graduate research assistantship). The reseeach will focus on the use of IKONOS images in forestry applications. Ideally, the program start date would be July 2007; however, an September 2007 start date would also be suitable.

The student should be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and have a GPA of B+ during the last two years. There is not the need to have a background in remote sensing or GIS as the hired person will be trained in these fields.

If you are interested in pursuing graduate studies in this field, or would like further information on this opportunity, please contact Prof. Leblon, Faculty of Forestry, UNB through email: bleblon@unb.ca.
