i wonder if somebody can really get across in 29 days and 10 hrs by swimming....

I wonder if it's to bring a little attention to the fact that Google does European driving directions. People have noted that

I notice that Google will now route you through the Czech Republic (Wien to Berlin, for example), which it wouldn't do two months ago when I first checked.

Ask it to take you Milano to Athens, though, and notice that some important step seems to be missing . . .
