It works on a strictly number of dollars/yen/pounds/etc basis but what about purchasing power? I think that's where the true comparison can and should be made.

Agreed, rudy. That was my biggest criticism of the site content. Typical far-left "it's so simple" representation of economics, an inherently complex issue.
