I have 300 PDFs that I need to set security permissions on...all need to have the same level of security. Does anyone know of a way to batch process the security settings across all of the PDFs without having to open each one individually? Can this be done in Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Pro? Does anyone know of another utility that can do this? Thanks. Erin.

If only we had a couple around here!
Good news is we found this extremely useful application: SpeedPDF Protection Manager It batched everything in about two-minutes with custom security settings! Well worth the price.

Within Acrobat Pro 7 Under the Advanced Menu>Batch Processing. I've used this in the past for setting comments, ownership and various security settings for 30 - 40 pdfs at a time. When distilling I have a preliminary set of preferences I run, then any little custom stuff that needs to be done to each file (links, etc.) are completed then finally run the batch process on a full folder to give a final compression and lock the buggers down.

Thanks Rick. Exactly the response I was looking for. Erin
