[Madhumita]

Hi everybody !

I am Madhumita Rao (Madhu), female, GIS professional from India. I am also in love with maps ever since I could remember and consider myself lucky enough to persue my passion as my profession. I love all aspects of Mapping - design, symbology and map making and every thing that goes with it.

I attained my BA (Hons) Degreee in geography from University of Delhi and Post Graduate Degree in Geography from Delhi school of Economics, University of Delhi. In order to overcome the handicap I acquired a short term diploma in Remote Sensing Tecniques and Applications from National Remote Sensing Agency, Hyderabad, India.

I have worked for over 10 years in the capacity of GIS Analyst, GIS Project Manager, ChiefCartographer with companies such as World Geoscience Corporation of Australia, ESRI India and currently I am working with Eicher Goodearth, India, by far publishers of best cartographic prducts - City Road maps within India. I manage the Dgital Mapping and GIS here.
