Does anyone know have any info on how CS3 will be performing on Windows Vista versus Mac OS X? I don't want to get into some religious argument of Mac v/ PC here but am thinking about buying a either PC workstation or a high-end Mac. All hardware things equal-anyone know if there's something about the operating systems that gives one OS a distinct advantage over the other when it comes to how Adobe Illustrator performs?
I have a souped up regular pc currently but it seem to make much of a difference from my old machine, which makes me think that there's some limitation in Illustrator on how many operations or features that it can handle...If so, it really doesn't matter how powerful a computer we have.

there is hardly anything public about Illy CS3 so far, and no one has yet even tested a universal binary of Illy (since there is none for CS2).

I doubt that it will that significant difference, and I think both OS' will perform reasonably equivalent on the same hardware. I think it is more a question of choice for you, or that you take other h/w into account.

You could check if there are any comparisons with PS CS3 beta on Mac vs Win
