Gillian was an early and active contributor to CartoTalk. She was the keeper of the resources section, and graciously rebuilt it after a loss of the database. I had the pleasure of meeting her in person at NACIS in Salt Lake City, and this is indeed sad news.

Wow. That is horrible news. Gillian was definitely a wonderful person and someone I enjoyed chatting with in some of our forum threads and on email. She will be missed.
