I've always used MacDEM with 250K DEM files, but today I'm working on a large-scale Colorado map so I downloaded some 1:24000 quad-level DEMs from GIS Data Depot. I'm not sure which file in the resulting SDTS folder to then open with MacDEM. I tried several but they all look the same to me.

MacDEM doesn't seem to care which file you use. I just select the first file in the list and it opens just fine.
