Hi there!

Just got my free copy of "Das deutsche Reich und der Zweite Weltkrieg Bd. 9/2 aka Germany and the Second World War" (. Five of the maps are made by me, which I´m very proud of (I´m even named in the acknowledgements :D ) . Looks very good on the shelf. I just wanted to brag to some folks who at least know what I´m bragging about...
If anybody wants to see them, I could scan them.
It´s just so fulfilling, I want to make maps for the restr of my life...

I know how you feel. I have been making maps for semi-obscure purposes for years. The first time I made a map for something that was for the popular press was very exciting.

Isn't it a nice feeling, the pride of seeing your work in print. I came home from a long trip last night and a copy of a recent issue of a magazine with some of my work in it was in the large stack of mail waiting for me (mostly bills)...but that one map still has me grinning. That's only when the printing turns out OK though..... ;)

Congratulations! I can still remember the feeling of pride I got when I spotted one of my own maps in a store. Makes you realize what you're doing it all for.

Please go ahead and scan some samples, I'd love to see them.

Congratulations.

I know it's always a good feeling when you see someone using one of your maps and then you help them find something. The extra icing is when you get to say " Uh, yea, I made that map".

That's what its all about about, pride of workmanship, God knows we'll never get rich this way.
