Hi,

I have just prepared a script to convert point type to area type - in case you find it useful, I thought I might share it. I haven't tested it fully yet, so any comments are very welcome. It is not perfect, but seems to work ok - note that the location can be a changed a tad in the y axis.

This is a JavaScript file, and should work for Illustrator CS2 (haven't tested in any other versions) for both Mac and PC. Read in the file for some notes, and execute it from the File>Script menu
