Benvenuto Mario - Glad you found us. Checked out your site - nice work! I am a cartographer just recently moved from US to Le Marche, vicino Ancona. My Italian is 'non molto bene', but I am wondering if you know of good Italian cartography associations?

Welcome,
Nice maps, if I could only draw like that...

Some info on Italian-Canadians... I believe Toronto has one of the largest Italian population outside Italy...

Nobody asked for a map of Bergamo yet, though it's a very rich town and has a beautiful hilltop old center.
Maybe one day... Our new government is trying to promote tourism again, after all Italy owns thousands and thousands of art treasures, and tourism should be our main industry. You know, here we say: who has bread has no teeth, and who has teeth has no bread.
How come you ask about Bergamo? Do you know the town?

Italians are everywhere, but I'm not completely italian. I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In Sao Paulo there are more italians than in Milano. Funny how "mamma" and "pizza" spreaded around the world, isn't it?

Some of my ancestors (great grandparents) came from there, and in the 1980's I visited distant relatives who live there. My first taste of gelato was there, too. Yum! :D
(oh yeah, I remember visiting the old hilltop part of the town, too)
