I've been doing some spare time mapping of CartoTalk stats, and one of the spreadsheets I've made has all USA users with designated lat/lng, and their post total (as of yesterday actually). The top 10 of those users have a combined post total of 3200. So between Hans and the 10 of us, we are 50% of the traffic on the site.
HansTalk... perhaps more accurate than you first guessed! It has a nice ring to it, haha

Well, technically, it's 11... my 10 = 3200 posts, hans = 1000 posts, so that makes 4200 posts out of 8000.
With Nick's stats from that recent thread though, it appears that there are many "active" users (readers), just not active posters. So I think that's encouraging, especially in light of the userbase constantly expanding as well. There's just 11 people that are super chatty!
I will post those spreadsheets, sure, as soon as I finish the top-secret maps I am making from them
