Just wondering why I got an email that said"Greetings GISdude,
Since we haven't seen you on CartoTalk.com in over 6 months, we thought we would send you a friendly reminder that we are still here. In fact we are bigger than ever and quickly becoming the best resource for cartographers everywhere to share information and techniques.
So come back and have a look."
But, I was on the boards last Friday.
Hans, maybe this had something to do with some of the outages we experienced in the past few months?

I received one too. Thanks for letting me know you're still around. I had completely forgotten this place existed. What did I miss?

Hmmm, I'd have to ask Nick to be sure (he does the technical part of Cartotalk)...
However, I seem to recall you signing up with 2 different names. Also, "GISDude" has a user-id close to yours (206 vs 208).
Don't know why Erin got one too though...

No, the message was addressed to me. Maybe it's my lucky day!

Through the board's Admin tools I sent an email to all users that had not visited the site in more the 180 days. The "Greetings GISDude" was a dynamic string created from a username so I can only assume you had 2 accounts with the same email address.
As to why Erin got one is a mystery.
