Nope not stupid, observant actually
Yes, that is gone as well for now.
any chance it could be brought back... please... ? I tried the outline mode, but then you have to click for each message and it is hard to follow the whole discussion then...

That feature was a major modification I made to the code in a number of different places (and didn't always work), which means that anytime there is an upgrade to the site's software I need to remodify a bunch of files. This is what I am trying to avoid now going forward. I will look for other solutions as well.

Am I stupid, or is the option to sort things old>new missing/lost?
I did find a combo box under the My Controls -> Edit Profile Information link to change oldest to newest or vice versa. So far no effect. I always prefer to have the original topic first and the newest on the bottom. My display is reversed. No biggie...

Now it all makes sense.
I can certainly understand why you want to keep the site as standard as possible. The mods can be difficult to integrate with the updates from IPB.

I prefer the first post to be the original post that started the thread. when it's backwards, i have to scroll down or jump a few pages to read what the thread starter posted.

Frax asked that same question here last week, and I too prefer that order, but it's not universal. See my answer here: http://www.cartotalk...&...post&p=7419possible to change the way the posts are viewed?

Is there a way to do the "old to new" style yet? That feature was a major modification I made to the code in a number of different places (and didn't always work), which means that anytime there is an upgrade to the site's software I need to remodify a bunch of files.
