wow, that was the most "conservative" article i've read in a while. it was so accusatory i had to go back to the top of the page to make sure it wasn't a blog. but then i noticed the headline: "the voice of conservatism in europe". sounds more to me like the voice of provincialism, essentially taking what i imagine to be an economic region map and then bringing up the past world war's and various power plays between nations.

however, it was illuminating. i had no idea that this was still such a sensitive subject to some constituencies in europe.

Yeah, I doubled checked several times just to confirm that I wasnt reading a blog as well. It's a bizarre read, but well worth it. Perhaps it's the Netherlands version of the 700 club?
