Hello, I'm Dasha from Russia, Moscow, found this very interesting forum from avenza.com. (Thank you for useful discussions). I graduated from moscow state university 4 years ago, cartography and GIS faculty. Now I'm working in laboratory of experimental geographic researches in the Institute of geography. My interests are: making map easier to understand, new technologies of fast making high quality maps and animations with maps, 3d-visualisation, electoral maps - I'm trying to write Phd "cartographic methods in electorla researches in post-soviet Russia".
