Hello there-
My name is Fayçal from Casablanca, Morocco. I grew up here in Morocco, I have lived in the United States for 8 years where I earned an Electrical Engineering degree.

I got into Cartography when I was co-managing a local company involved in vehicle tracking 3 years ago. The lack of reliable digital maps pushed me into becoming a Self-made Cartographer. :)

Since then I have had the chance to produce a few Maps for local companies. I am now hoping to keep my new business growing through generating good quality / reliable maps. (I use GIS Arcview,GIS,Illustrator,Photoshop,Didger and a few other tools to make my maps)

I think there is a lot of opportunity in Morocco and North Africa when it comes to Cartography, and I hope to exchange ideas with all of you to keep on growing this market.

I have found this forum very enriching and uniting people with this same interest all over the world.....

Looking forward to hearing back from Yall

Fayçal

Welcome to the forum, Faycal. Which part of the U.S. did you live in? The "Yall" in your closing line peaked my curiosity. Erin

Absolutely! A few of the popular phrases:

1) "Bye Y'all"
2) "Y'all"
3) "all Y'all (more common in Texas I think)

I smile everytime I hear one of the above....
:P
