a cartotalker surely knows how to read and understand a globe, I just thought this flash app as kind of cool. Nice color scheme and muted design in a way. Or maybe it is just the cartography references in the design... I often hate full flash web-sites (RIAs), but this one actually feels good. The flash design of the web shop feels quite nice too, although I don't to flip through a lot of pages with only a few entries in each.

The bit on 'how old is your globe' is pretty useful. I've used that method of course, but I don't know all of the dates/changes off the top of my head.
