It's definitely worth going if you can swing it! Great group of people, lots of stuff about maps and cartography, broad spectrum of backgrounds and interests and topics, but small enough to be friendly without getting lost in crowds.

After talking to the NACIS folks I think we are going to roll the CartoTalk dinner in with the NACIS night out on Thursday. It is at State Street Brats and NACIS has the whole 2nd floor reserved. They say there is plenty of space for special interest group meetings.

Ah...I will get to meet more of the cartotalk folks...I missed your dinner gathering in salt lake. Looking forward to meeting more of you. And remind me if any of you are presenting...I think there is a least a few drinks owed.
