Nathaniel Kelso and I are putting together a program for Practical Cartography Day at NACIS on transitioning from Freehand to Illustrator. I'm looking for a few other folks who have experience in both, who would be willing to join in. I'm in a map publishing company and Nathaniel is at a newspaper, and we're looking for people with some variety of other environments: web mapping, heavy raster imagery use, Statistical mapping...
The format will probably be we come up with a handful of broad themes and run through the big pitfalls and how we work around them, keeping it open to the audience for their suggestions.
Please let me know OFF LIST if you're interested.
